The Legal Administrative Assistant Intern supports attorneys and administrative staff with day-to-day office operations while gaining hands-on experience in a legal environment. This role is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in law, legal administration, or office management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with organizing and maintaining client files (physical and electronic)
- Support document preparation, formatting, and proofreading
- Help schedule meetings, calls, and appointments for legal staff
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Assist with client intake processes and basic correspondence
- Observe and support court filing procedures (as appropriate)
- Conduct light research and compile information for cases or administrative needs
- Handle general office tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing
- Provide front desk support, including greeting clients and answering phones
