Procopio is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support our busy and growing Education & Government and Tribal Law teams! The Legal Secretary will work closely with staff and attorneys and will have a variety of responsibilities including:
Our best candidates have 10 years of Legal Secretary experience with litigation experience being required. While experience supporting Education & Government or Tribal Law attorneys is a plus, it is not required—we're happy to teach the practice area to someone with a strong litigation background with experience mainly in State and Federal Courts. Although this is not a high-volume litigation desk, the role regularly involves court filings and requires someone who is comfortable managing litigation procedures and deadlines. This role requires a candidate to have exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have strong skills in MS Office, excellent word processing abilities, experience with electronic court filing procedures, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
