Summary of Role:
The Legal Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the legal department of Taxing Authority Consulting Services.
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Schedule: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday- Friday
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide support with court and summons processes
· Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and court dates.
· Handling outgoing and incoming mail, filing, and other administrative support tasks.
· Preparing, proofreading, copying, and revising drafts of legal documents and notices.
· Maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems.
· Communicating with clients and other legal professionals via email and telephone.
· Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Adaptability and time management skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal databases, and scheduling software.
· Understanding of legal terms and procedures.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
· Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and legal environments.
· Ability to multi-task effectively.
Qualifications:
· At least 1 years of experience in an administrative support role.
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED and some college coursework in business administration or a related field
Additional Desired Qualifications:
· Work experience in a legal environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
