Law Firm Administrator
Our national law firm is looking for a full-time Firm Administrator to oversee and perform a variety of management, business, and administrative support tasks to facilitate the efficient operation of the firm. The position may be located in Washington, D.C. or one of our other Firm offices listed above. The ideal candidate is highly organized, independently motivated, and task oriented, and has the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment and manage competing duties.
Job Responsibilities
· Oversees and coordinates Firm finances, including taxes, audits, billing, budgeting and implementation of financial policies;
· Manages and coordinates all aspects of Firm administration across offices, including HR, firmwide insurance and retirement benefits, worker’s compensation and state unemployment, professional liability insurance;
· Manages and assists with state specific HR compliance issues, tax and business filings and other state office requirements;
· Collaborates with Firm vendors, suppliers, and service providers;
· Coordinates Firm IT to ensure consistency in operation and function firmwide, including liability insurance and ensuring computer systems and software reflect industry standards;
· Manages and Supports hiring processes across offices, including recruitment, interviews, and onboarding and training new employees;
· Seeks to improve internal processes, identifying areas for greater efficiency, cost savings, and improved workflow and client relationship management;
· Participates in strategic planning process with Firm management to identify and accomplish short- and long-term Firm goals;
· Responds to individual partner, associate, and employee questions, concerns and tasks, including insurance, travel, and personal matters;
· Maintains and suggests updates to Firm policies and Employee Handbook resulting from changes in applicable law and best practices; and
· Communicates and coordinates with the Firm’s Management Committee and other committees of partners, as necessary.
· Assist individual offices with individual office needs, such as facilities, IT, security, parking, etc.
