As our Wilmington office continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to support a sophisticated litigation practice handling complex business and commercial disputes. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on high-level matters while serving as a critical member of a collaborative and client-focused team.
This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three (3) days per week in the office.
What You'll Do
- Provide proactive, high-level administrative support to attorneys and litigation teams.
- Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Create and maintain tables of contents, tables of authorities, exhibits, and other complex document components.
- Coordinate and manage electronic filings in state and federal courts.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness materials, filings, and logistical coordination.
- Maintain attorney calendars and monitor critical deadlines.
- Enter attorney time, process expense reports, and assist with billing-related activities.
- Support conflicts checks, engagement letters, and new matter openings.
- Maintain electronic and physical case files in a highly organized manner.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and business professionals to ensure exceptional client service.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum five (5) years of litigation legal support experience within a law firm environment.
- Experience with electronic filings in state and federal courts.
- Knowledge of litigation procedures, court systems, and legal terminology.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys and managing competing priorities.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and document management technologies.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Experience with Legal Tracker, CompuLaw, CounselLink, or similar litigation support applications is a plus.
- Delaware litigation experience, including Court of Chancery or federal court exposure, is highly valued.
