Law Firm Controller

Location Requirement: This is a remote position, but we can only hire candidates who reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WV.

We’re looking for an experienced Fractional Controller to help solo law firm owners understand their numbers, improve profitability, and make smarter financial decisions.

You’ll advise a roster of 40 clients as part of a Fractional Executive Team of CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and Controllers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead monthly 1:1 financial strategy calls with clients
• Analyze financial statements, KPIs, profitability, and cash flow
• Build and interpret financial dashboards
• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and identify risks
• Turn financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
• Coach clients toward stronger financial habits and accountability

What We’re Looking For

• Controller or senior-level accounting/finance experience
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, KPI, and dashboard experience
• Proven results improving profitability, cash flow, or expenses
• Experience managing teams or client relationships
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financials simply
• Small business or entrepreneurial experience strongly preferred
• Professional services or law firm experience is a plus

The Details

Remote | Full-Time
Some evening availability and travel required.

Compensation: $110,000 to $145,000 total annual compensation, including base pay, roster-based earnings, additional projects, and projected bonuses.
