We are seeking a professional, highly organized, and dependable Legal Assistant / Receptionist to serve as a key member of our team. Core Responsibilities
The responsibilities listed below describe the general nature of the role and are not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned as needed
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and visitors, answering calls, managing inquiries, and providing exceptional client service in a professional and welcoming manner.
Coordinate client appointments, consultations, calendars, and office communications to ensure efficient daily operations.
Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys and staff, including preparing, proofreading, organizing, and filing legal documents, correspondence, and case materials under appropriate supervision.
Maintain accurate, organized client files; assist with client intake; manage case information; and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive client and firm records.
Run routine business errands, including trips to the post office, bank, courthouse, and other locations as needed, using reliable transportation for work-related travel.
Meet a minimum billable requirement of 15 hours per week through qualifying legal support work performed under attorney supervision, while accurately tracking time and balancing receptionist and administrative responsibilities.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to meet deadlines, maintain an organized, professional office environment, and support the firm's overall efficiency and success.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a legal, receptionist, or administrative role preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills with a professional demeanor.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office technology; experience with legal software preferred.
Ability to accurately track time and consistently meet a minimum requirement of 15 billable hours per week.
Reliable transportation for work-related errands and off-site responsibilities.
Strong initiative, sound judgment, and ability to work independently while adapting to changing priorities.
Dependable, accountable, and team-oriented, with a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
This is a full-time, on-site position requiring in-office attendance Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
The position requires consistent, reliable attendance and the ability to perform work-related errands and off-site responsibilities as needed.
