Responsibilities
- Gather, review, and organize documentation for litigation matters.
- Conduct conflict checks and open new matters within the firm's case management system.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
- Prepare and electronically file legal documents through NYSCEF and other applicable e-filing systems while ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Assist attorneys with preparing pleadings, motions, petitions, summonses, complaints, proposed orders, notices of entry, and other legal documents.
- Conduct background research and obtain public records as needed.
- Coordinate and track service of process.
- Monitor litigation deadlines, court appearances, and attorney calendars.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and self-represented parties.
- Provide reliable administrative and litigation support throughout the life of each case.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of civil litigation experience.
- Previous experience in foreclosure, collections, default services, or another high-volume litigation practice is strongly preferred.
- Experience conducting conflict checks.
- Working knowledge of NYSCEF electronic filing.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Associate's degree or Paralegal Studies certificate preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
- $50,000–$60,000 annually, depending on experience.
